NAMI Bridges
NAMI Bridges is a free short-term peer support service to support individuals navigating the mental health system, accessing basic needs, and connecting to community resources.
This program is open to individuals in Multnomah County who identify as LGBTQIA+ and/or a Veteran/Military Service Member. Individuals cannot already be connected to other behavioral health services at the time of enrollment.

Our Peer Support Specialists use their personal experiences with mental health challenges and recovery to support and inspire hope in other peers. They use their extensive knowledge of community resources to be a bridge for peers in need of services such as behavioral health, addiction treatment, housing, and employment.
They can assist you to:
Get information and support to make your goals a reality
Create a personalized safety/relapse prevention plan
Make informed, independent choices
Identify and build on your strengths
Access community resources
Answer questions about mental illness
Offer support in times of struggle and crisis
Develop coping skills and maintain recovery
These services are confidential, and can be offered in-person at our NE Portland office or remotely via phone or video chat. Individuals may be referred by a provider, or self-refer to our program using the forms on this page.
